When it comes to speaking a language we may define “accent” as the way in which people in a particular area or country pronounce words.
When people learn a new language they must pronounce and stress words correctly to be understood in that target language.
As a non-native speaker, having an accent is natural and there is nothing wrong with that as long as people understand clearly what you say. Nevertheless, sometimes our mother tongue accent may interfere with the other language that we are learning. If someone is having problems to communicate due to an accent they can overcome that problem by taking accent reduction courses.
World Language Institute provides accent reduction training to individuals and corporations in most languages.
People interested in this service must be interviewed and take an assessment.
